These are the salaries paid in tourism in 2022

Before the pandemic, 12.4% of the job offers that were published in temporary work companies such as Adecco were to fill vacancies in the tourism sector. Last year, that supply was drastically reduced by 90%. The “Adecco Salary Guide”, which analyzes jobs whose salary range is below 30,000 euros gross per year on average, has now published a report that includes the thirteen key profiles of the sector and the remuneration paid in 2022.

“Due to the situation of widespread job loss in the sector, wages have stagnated and have even decreased slightly in some positions,” according to Adecco.

At the moment, the most demanded profile in the tourism sector is that of Sales Executive, who receives 31% of the offers published for Hospitality and Tourism. The best paid job is Chef, with an average salary of 29,000 euros gross per year, indicates this temporary employment company.

According to Juan Antonio Sánchez, director of Adecco Hosteler, “2022 will be a year of transition, where the first signs of reactivation are expected to occur in the second half of the year, in the case of national demand, and somewhat later and much more gradually in the case of foreign demand”.
