Yachts with a crew of up to 25 people may be granted a six-month license period (see details below) on a condition that they visit Turkey only once every 2 years for six months each time. Yachts with 25 or more crew members must renew their permit annually with the Directorate General of the Directorate General of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries. A yacht with more than 50 crew members must register its presence with the local police within 24 hours of entering Turkish territorial waters.

Yachts with over 100 crew members must seek authorization from the ministry. This may be denied if the yacht is suspected of carrying narcotics or has previously Luxury Yacht Charter Turkey violated Turkish or international maritime laws. If approved, a yachts with over 100 crew may enter Turkey on a 12 month visa-free entry permit with permission to stay for 12 months.
