It is a beautiful and green town with excellent schools and great amenities. It has a large shopping center, a market, plenty of parks and gardens, and a very good medical facility. It is also home to the famous Lancashire County Cricket Club. It has a large industrial base, as well as many different businesses.

The town’s attractions include the Old Town Hall, which is a listed building; a museum, the Roman Amphitheater; and The Clifton Suspension Bridge.

The town was founded in 1764, and was houses for sale burnley named after its founder, Robert Burnley. He was the mayor of Burnley for three decades, and his wife was born in Briercliffe, which is another Burnley suburb.

The first inhabitants were probably farmers living on the River Colne. However, by the 16th century the area had become known for its rich coal deposits, and many new industries sprang up. In 1594, the first coal mine was opened, and the first railway followed in 1841. In 1861, the population of Burnley was 10,000. By 2011, it was more than 50,000, making it one of the fastest growing towns in England.

In 2006, Burnley became the first town in England to be declared a city by proclamation, although it was previously known as a borough.
