Put the list in the main text. This would mean moving it to a blockquote paragraph as shown below, which gives you more room to make it longer and still looks like the author wrote it that way in the original.

Add a table of contents to the end of the document.

Put a list of references at the end of the article, which means no list at the end of the document and it does not look like the document was written in Word.
