Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman has been confirmed for Shazam 2! Fans have seen footage of her shoulder and gauntlets, where it appears she will hold a glowing staff in the film.

DC fans were taken by surprise with the announcement that Henry Cavill will depart the DCEU as Superman, and with The Flash potentially resetting the universe, Diana could be permanently erased from existence after Barry Allen alters time.

What is Shazam?

Shazam is an application that can identify music, movies and TV shows based on a short sample played using your device’s microphone. You can use it to recognize songs playing on radio, in stores or directly from your phone.

When you shazam a song, it generates its title and artist name as well as links to stream or buy from Apple Music, Spotify and Deezer. Furthermore, Shazam provides the capability of backing up all your Shazams so they won’t be lost if the app is deleted or your device goes missing.

Furthermore, if you own multiple devices, signing in with the same Apple ID allows access to your Shazams on all of them. This makes it simpler to manage your music collection and discover new songs while on-the-go.

At the end of this year, DC Extended Universe will get a reboot and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman will make an appearance. This could be fans’ last chance to see Gadot in her iconic role as the Amazonian princess.

Shazam and Wonder Woman

In the upcoming sequel Shazam 2, there will be a host of villains joining Billy Batson and his family to fight against them – one of whom appears to be Wonder Woman.

Wonder Woman is an impressive Amazonian warrior who has battled against mythological forces. As the daughter of Zeus, she has the strength and wisdom to take on Gods like Ares when they go rogue.

Her presence in this movie makes sense given the potential threat posed by the three angry daughters of Atlas to the Shazam Family.

She has even engaged in combat with the Old Gods herself, making her an ideal addition to this film.

In the trailer for Shazam 2, some DC fans have noticed a shoulder and gauntlets that appear to belong to Wonder Woman. This has given rise to hopes that she may make an appearance in Shazam 2.

Shazam and Hespera

DC’s Shazam will once again confront two demi-goddesses in Shazam 2; one of whom has been revealed by the movie trailer. Hespera (Dame Helen Mirren) and Kalypso (Lucy Liu) will serve as main antagonists in this sequel.

Hespera is an expert Aerokinesis practitioner, which means she can manipulate the air around her. Additionally, she has the capacity to create and utilize technology.

She even has a fire-breathing dragon!

In the DCEU, she is commonly referred to as Khaleesi – which translates into “queen.” She is an incredibly powerful and immortal female demi-goddess.

She is renowned as a powerful warrior who battles evil and protects the world from chaos. Furthermore, her knowledge about gods makes her role in Fury of the Gods particularly fitting.

Shazam and Kalypso

As you can see in the footage below, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman will make an appearance in Shazam 2! Although this appearance will only last for a short while, it should give fans reason to get excited about the movie.

The latest TV spot from the film features Billy Batson (Asher Angel) dreaming of a date with Amazonian warrior Diana Prince (Gal Gadot). This romantic scene has been rumored since CinemaCon 2022, so it should come as no shock that it will feature prominently in the movie.

This TV spot includes many Philadelphia references, from the tyrannosaur in Citizens Bank Park to Lucy Liu’s Kalypso riding a dragon! It’s an obvious nod towards the city where the film is set but also fits seamlessly with the storyline.

Kalypso is not based on any DC Comic characters but instead draws inspiration from Greek mythology’s nymph Calypso. She is the daughter of Atlas, the otherworldly being who bestowed Shazam with his endurance and powers.
